Grain sorghums yield 300-2000 kg/ha of grain under rain-fed conditions, and irrigated hybrid sorghums can produce up to 4500-6500 kg/ha of grain. Fodder sorghums yield 25000-75000 kg/ha green matter depending on soil fertility and rainfall.
