Susceptible varieties
Two varieties are known to be susceptible to diseases in Kenya. Sindano is susceptible to Rice Yellow Mottle Virus (RYMV) while Basmati 217 is susceptible to blast. In areas where the two diseases are common, plant tolerant varieties.
