Umbilical cord inflammation
Shortly after birth pull the umbilical cord away gently or cut if necessary (to about 5cm). The navel of each piglet should be soaked in a cup of iodine solution to prevent inflammation and tetanus. Dry each piglet carefully with a cloth.
